Analysis
As we said, it is a strange month. Let’s talk about the poster boy of the month i.e. Amar Singh Chamkila. The movie is extremely well made with a perfect balance between beauty and content. The perfect screenplay and soul-wrenching music add to the overall impact of the film which is phenomenal, to say the least. It is a kind of film that will remain registered as one of the best films by the maestro.
Talking about the licensed films, most of them received good response. All India Rank couldn’t grab the response of the audience but Laapata Ladies, Article 370 and Tillu Square received very warm responses. Laapata Ladies is being hailed very warmly and people are actually loving the film. Dange too got a good response but nothing extraordinary.
Talking about The Kapil Sharma Show, it is slowly slipping into irrelevance. The show will be off the air soon, thanks to the completion of the schedule and the lack of any good response.
We give a solid 6 out of 10 to Netflix India’s performance in April and the credit goes to Amar Singh Chamkila.
