As we have been saying, 2023 is the best year so far for Netflix in terms of series. The year started with Trial By Fire then Class, Scoop, Kohrra, The Hunt For Veerappan and now Guns & Gulaabs.
Just compare it with last year and you would be able to appreciate how phenomenal the growth of Netflix India has been in terms of series.
Regardless, Tanya Bami, the series head of Netflix India revealed what 2023 holds for the remaining months.
Tanya said: “Choona is a quirky show. I am curious to see how the audience reacts to it. I am deeply invested in Kaala Pani, which is a beautiful survival drama with memorable characters and a very different tone. There’s Abhishek Chaubey’s Soup with Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma. We also have a documentary on the actress Nayanthara.”
So other than Choona, we can assume Kaala Pani for October, Soup for November and after a long long wait, Nayanthara documentary in December.
But this is mere speculation as there can be several changes to the routine. As of now, only Choona seems to be in the vision which is due to be released on the 29th of September.
