Analysis
Last month was all about whistles and adrenaline on Netflix India. The platform delivered us Monica O My Darling as an original film. It not only garnered decent views but was also a great pulp fiction to binge-watch.
The quirky yet entertaining album of the movie helped a lot in elevating the viewing experience. Overall, the film was really good and Netflix India certainly needs more of such movies on their platform.
Coming to series then this month only had Khakee: The Bihar Chapter as a series. But no complaints there.
They used the same old concept but the appreciable storytelling still made the show a worthy watch. The show entered the Netflix chart of “Most Watched non-English Series” which was seemingly impermeable since February.
Thus Neeraj Pandey’s amazing direction and warm response from the audience acted as the winning factor for Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.
However, the platform was disappointing in the licensed films section. Apart from Chiranjeevi’s The Godfather, the platform missed the mark in all major films. But that hardly matters because they are “licensed” anyways.
To sum up, we give 6.5 points to Netflix India for keeping us entertained in November.
