Netflix India has renewed a lot of series. Today itself, they launched a video in which they featured glimpses of all the series that they renewed recently.
Interestingly, it also features She Season 2 which was released last month itself.
For the unversed, Netflix featured Delhi Crime, Mismatched, Jamtara, Masaba Masaba, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, and She.
Now let’s talk about the individual titles.
Delhi Crimes starring Shefali Shah is one of the most popular, celebrated, and best series in Hindi. Needless to say, renewing it is a great decision that will help Netflix gain a better reach amongst the masses.
Mismatched starring Prajakta Koli and Rohit Sharaf are also getting renewed. It is hugely popular amongst the masses and the relatable dialogues and situations made it a nice binge option.
The case of Jamtara is similar to that of the Delhi Crimes. It is based on true crime and was decent. It was in no way close to Delhi Crimes in terms of execution but for a one-time watch, it can be considered.
Now the problem begins.
Karan Johar’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives is one of the cringiest, most regressive, and most pathetic shows in the country. Even the show is headlined “Bollywood Wives” thus implying a notion that those women have just one identity and that belongs to their husbands.
Those women are shown shopping, living a luxurious lifestyle, and all sorts of things solely dependent on a man.
Not only that, no one really wants or cares about the show. Thus it is a complete waste of effort, time, and reputation.
So applies to She Season 2 which was terrible and also Indian Matchmaking Season 2 which Netflix forgot to mention.
Thus overall, this is an average decision because only Delhi Crimes is the most promising one amongst all the titles which are getting renewed. The others are either average or cringeworthy.
