Netflix India has recently found itself at the center of a storm as fans express their frustration over the delayed release of the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film “Lust Stories.” The film, which features a star-studded cast including Kajol, Neena Gupta, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, Amruta Shubhash, Tillotama Shome, Kumud Mishra, was initially slated to be released on June 29.
As with most Netflix original releases, fans were expecting the film to drop at the usual time of 12:30 PM IST. However, confusion and disappointment ensued when Netflix India posted a countdown on Instagram, stating that the release time would be 12:00 AM IST, midnight instead.
But the film is nowhere to be found yet.
This unexpected change in release time has caused outrage among fans who had eagerly anticipated watching the sequel. Many fans took to social media to express their disappointment, asking Netflix for an explanation and even resorting to trolling the streaming platform.
The frustration stems from the fact that fans were expecting a midnight release. But, the film will be released according to the usual schedule of 12:30 PM IST.
While Netflix India has not officially addressed the situation, it is important to remember that release schedules and timings can occasionally change due to unforeseen circumstances. Production delays, technical issues, or even last-minute changes in distribution strategies can all contribute to alterations in release plans. However, this seems like a mistake of the Instagram team of Netflix, which failed to remember the schedule.
A very human error indeed, and we hope Netflix doesn’t fire any interns.
