Another week begins, and with it the daily grind. The rains have arrived in India, and it makes for a good idea to rustle up a cup of piping hot chocolate and a bowl of buttery pop corn, and binge-watch the new shows and movies that are creating a buzz on Netflix India this week. Here’s the list of Top Ten movies and Top Ten shows on Netflix India in the 14th June week –
TOP 10 MOVIES ON NETFLIX INDIA THIS WEEK
10. Xtreme
Xtreme, aka Xtremo in Spanish, is a high octane action thriller and revenge drama. A retired hitman is at the receiving end of his step-brother’s unhinged violence, who kills his adolescent son. With the help of his sister and a troubled teen he saved from a street gangster, the hitman gears up to take his revenge from his stepbrother and….. annihilate him.
9. Sardar Ka Grandson
Arjun Kapoor’s Sardar Ka Grandson is still going strong on the Netflix Top Ten films list. Sardar Ka Grandson takes one of the most audacious ideas that can be thought about and tries to create an emotional bond around it. A devoted grandson makes it his unflinching mission to get his ailing grandmother reunited with her ancestral home which turns into a fun affair that cuts across borders.
Zack Snyder’s zombie flick has to find a place in the Netflix Top Ten. It’s still getting a lot of love from viewers, some of whom are giving it a second and third watch. Army Of The Dead revolves around a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. A group of mercenaries take a huge risk and enter into the quarantine zone for what is the scariest and most daring heist ever.
7. 365 Days
365 Days seems to have found a permanent place in Netflix India’s Top Ten list. Netflix recently announced that there would be a part 2 as well as 3 for the franchise. It is an erotic drama where a powerful man with mafia connections abducts a strong-headed woman, and gives her an ultimatum of 365 days to fall in love with him.
6. The Intern
Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro‘s heartwarming film has been showered with love ever since it arrived on Netflix India at the start of this month. A young woman struggles to save her business and her marriage, both of which are on thin ice at the moment. The new intern she’s hired recently turns out to be an unexpected friend, philosopher and guide for her, helping her win the battle.
5.Sarbath
Sarbath, Tamil comedy drama film, has a quirky sense of humour. A young Chennai-based IT professional returns to his village to attend the wedding of his elder brother. But things have gone drastically wrong, and the wedding has been called off. The story takes an even quirkier turn when our protagonist falls in love with the very girl his elder brother was to marry. Sarbath is the classic comedy of errors story, told in a light, refreshing way.
4. Fifty Shades Of Grey
It’s been a month already that Fifty Shades Of Grey found a place on the Netflix Top Ten, and has stayed there ever since. The film is based on the erotic novel and discusses themes of extreme sexuality. In this film, a wealthy older man and a young woman start an intense affair but things start to heat up as they take things to an extreme end in their relationship.
3. Wish Dragon
Wish Dragon is a colorful, cheerful, animated delight. A young man Din meets a Wish Dragon who will grant him three wishes. But Din has a quirky wish. He has no desire for fame or riches. He just wants to reunite with his childhood friend who’s now a big movie star – and that’s what he wishes for. What follows is an adventure full of crazy fun, with a heartwarming end.
2. Awake
Netflix loves its sci-fi thrillers, and we love Netflix for that. Awake is the latest sci-fi thriller on Netflix, with a frightening plot. An apocalyptic event has rendered humankind unable to sleep. It’s a known fact that lack of sleep can kill a human within a week. But before that, he will slowly descend into delerium. Awake is a terrifying depiction of the consequences of no sleep, as a mother fights to save her family from the impending disaster.
1. Skater Girl
The lovely, heartwarming film Skater Girl is at Number One on the Netflix Top Ten Movies list. A young tribal girl in Rajasthan falls in love with the unconventional sport of skateboarding. The movie depicts how the sport sets the girl on the path to freedom and emancipation.

10. StartUp
StartUp proves that old is always gold. The 2016 show is finding a lot of love ever since it arrived on Netflix. A young techie creates a revolutionary, unregulated digital currency called GenCoin. A banker named Andy decides to partner with him, infusing the project with cash that Andy’s father is desperate to conceal. The trio ends up on the radar of FBI Financial Crimes Agent Phil Rask, who is on Andy’s trail. Starring Martin Freeman as the FBI Agent, Startup is a thrilling series set in the world of digital currency.
9. The Bold Type
Three millennials are trying to craft their life at a women’s magazine where they have to juggle their careers, romances, and friendships together. They have to do all of this simultaneously while trying to find their inner voice plus getting acquainted with life in the modern city.
8. The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries is set in the mythical world of vampires. A young girl, Elena Gilbert, falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire named Stefan Salvatore. Their relationship becomes increasingly complicated as Stefan’s mysterious older brother Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) too falls in love with Elena, creating a love triangle among the three. The series gets its thrills from the various enemies that the two brothers have to fend off in order to protect Elena.
7. Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders is one of Netflix’s all-time great shows, and a gripping crime and gangster drama. Tommy Shelby, a dangerous man, leads the Peaky Blinders, a gang based in Birmingham. Soon, Chester Campbell, an inspector, decides to nab him and put an end to the criminal activities. Over five seasons, the series follows the Shelby Family as they fight off enemies – both internal and external.
6. Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaise is a Japanese Manga series that follows the story of a boy who swallows a cursed talisman – the finger of a demon – and becomes cursed himself. He enters a shaman’s school to be able to locate the demon’s other body parts and thus exorcise himself.
5. Money Heist
With the announcement of the Season 5 release date, the hype could not be greater for this thrilling series. The Professor hires a team of exceptionally talented criminals to undertake one of the riskiest heists ever. This team of ragtag criminals will have to dig deep to come out safe and sound. The robbers will have to fight obstacles both external and internal if they are to get what they came for.
4. Friends
The sitcom has been ruling our hearts for decades now and is almost omnipresent in the list of Netflix India’s Top 10. Friends is the story of a close group of friends who come together almost every day and share their problems and happiness. The six friends stay true to their tagline – I’ll be there for you!
3. Lucifer Season 5 Part 2
Being the Lord of Hell may not be as exciting as he thought it would be. So Lucifer decides to come down and open up a nightclub in Los Angeles as he forms a connection with a homicide detective. In Season 5 Part 2, Lucifer has to lock horns with his own father, that is God!
2. Sweet Tooth
In a post-apocalyptic world, a mysterious virus is causing hybrid babies to be born – babies that are half human – half animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. Sweet Tooth is the story of the hybrid Gus, who sets out to find his mother, with the help of the gruff Jepperd.
1. Lupin
Omar Sy plays professional thief and master of disguise Assane Diop. His motive in life is to extract revenge from the powerful Hubert Pellegrini, who had framed his father in the false theft of an expensive diamond necklace. A grown up Assane becomes the master of disguise, like his idol Lupin, and sets out to get revenge on the Pellegrini family, using his charisma and mastery of thievery, subterfuge, and disguise to expose Hubert’s crimes.
