Netflix India’s Top 10 Films & Series to Watch in the 12th June Week

For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the topmost spot has been bagged by Aditya Roy Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s crime thriller film ‘Gumraah’. And on the second and third places of the Netflix list are the Adam Driver starrer sci-fi action flick ‘65’ and Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer romantic comedy movie ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’.

On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been secured by the high-school comedy drama series ‘Never Have I Ever’. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are Hansal Mehta’s journalism-based web series ‘Scoop’ followed by the mystery sci-fi series ‘Manifest’, respectively.

10. Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday

The action-comedy movie is a sequel to the 2018 film ‘Accident Man’. Scott Adkins reprises his role as the titular protagonist, who must outwit the world’s best assassins to protect a crime lord’s son, save his only friend, and revive his relationship with his mentor and father figure Big Ray (played by ‘RRR’ actor Ray Stevenson).

9. Dasara (Hindi)

Set amidst the backdrop of Singareni coal mines in an alcohol-addicted village, the period action film follows the story of three friends Dharani (Nani), Soori (Dheekshith Shetty) and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). But the goings-on take a drastic turn after one of the friends is mysteriously killed by someone. Now, it’s up to Dharani to find the culprit and exact revenge.

8. Virupaksha

Set in a village named Rudravanam during the 1990s period, the film’s story revolves around some mysterious and unexplained deaths happening in the village because of occult practices by some person. The protagonist Surya visits his ancestral village and tries to unearth the mystical secrets in order to save the village before it’s too late.

7. Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway

Based on a true story, the film features Rani Mukerji as a distressed immigrant mother who fights an arduous legal battle with the Norwegian authorities and their foster care system after her children are taken away from her.

6. Shooter

Directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer), the action thriller movie follows an elite military sniper (Mark Wahlberg), who is brought back from his self-imposed retirement to prevent an impending assassination attempt against the President. But the story takes a turn when he is double crossed, and he goes on the run.

5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

The taut story follows a teenage Spider-Man, who teams up with multiple spider-powered superheroes from other universes to fight a common enemy – the supervillain Kingpin. The movie broke new ground for the superhero animated films genre.

4. Kathal

The social dramedy movie is about a female cop’s (Sanya Malhotra) endeavours to find the missing jackfruits from a politician’s garden.

3. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

The romantic comedy movie follows the story of an affluent man (Ranbir Kapoor), who also works as a break-up consultant. During a leisure trip to Spain, he meets a woman (Shraddha Kapoor), and they fall in love with each other. But the story takes an interesting turn when the woman begins to have second thoughts about their relationship.

The science fiction thriller movie features Adam Driver and the plot follows an astronaut who crash lands on an unknown planet and later finds out that he is not alone.

The crime thriller movie features Aditya Roy Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. The film’s story revolves around a police investigation into a murder case of a young man in which the main suspect is found to have a lookalike.

10. Wednesday

The horror comedy series focuses on The Addams Family character named Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega). The story is about how the titular protagonist, a gothic teenage girl, hones her psychic abilities and attempts to investigate a series of brutal killings.

9. Arnold

The three-part docuseries focuses on the life story of the legendary bodybuilding champion Arnold Schwarzenegger and his journey to becoming an A-list Hollywood action star followed by his career as a politician. It features several interviews including Arnold himself along with James Cameron and Sylvester Stallone, etc.

8. XO, Kitty

The rom-com series follows the story of a teen matchmaker Kitty, who realizes that romantic relationships are more complex than she earlier thought, after she tries to reconnect with her long-distance boyfriend.

7. Fake Profile

The Spanish language romantic thriller web series follows a woman named Camilla, whose life takes a drastic turn after she finds the seemingly perfect man on a dating app.

6. The Good Bad Mother

The Korean drama series is about a cold-hearted prosecutor, who becomes like a child following an accident. He relocates to his hometown and starts a new life with his mother and reconnects with an old friend. Will things be different for the mother-son duo this time?

5. FUBAR

The spy action-adventure series is about a father-daughter duo (Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro), who have been living with the common secret about working for the CIA. But the goings-on take an interesting turn when they come to know about it and the father comes back for one last mission.

4. Bloodhounds

The Korean action series revolves around how two young boxers join forces with a well-intentioned moneylender to fight against a powerful and merciless loan shark, who preys on the weak people who are in trouble.

3. Manifest

The mystery sci-fi series revolves around a group of passengers who somehow safely land after a turbulent flight. However, they soon learn that five years have already passed mysteriously in such a short time and the world has moved on after assuming that they were gone forever. 2. Scoop

Directed by Hansal Mehta (Scam 1992), the web series follows the story of an ambitious crime journalist (Karishma Tanna), who somehow becomes the prime suspect in a shocking murder of a fellow journalist. How she fights back against all odds forms the show’s underlying plot.
