Netflix India’s Top 10 Films & Series to Watch in the 15th May Week

For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the topmost spot has been bagged by the Rani Mukerji led legal drama ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway’. And on the second and third places of the Netflix list are Luv Ranjan’s rom-com ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and the Jennifer Lopez starrer action movie ‘The Mother’.

On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been secured by the Bridgerton spinoff ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are the Korean sci-fi action series ‘Black Knight’ followed by the horror comedy series ‘Wednesday’, respectively.

10. AKA

The French action thriller movie follows the story of a Special Ops agent (played by former stuntman Alban Lenoir), who infiltrates a criminal organization and unexpectedly forms an emotional connection with the boss’s young son.

9. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Karan Johar’s romantic drama movie features Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the roles of a popular singer Ayan and Alizeh, respectively, and their ups and downs in their friendship and romantic relationships. It also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in an important role.

8. Clifford: The Big Red Dog

The fantasy comedy movie revolves around a middle school girl Emily, who gets a red puppy from a magical animal rescuer. But her life totally changes after the cute little puppy transforms into an enormous red dog which attracts unwanted attention.

7. Meter

The action-comedy movie follows the story of an angry young man Arjun Kalyan, who reluctantly becomes a police officer for the sake of his police constable father’s dreams. But the goings-on take a turn when he crosses paths with a powerful politician.

6. Dasara

Set amidst the backdrop of Singareni coal mines in an alcohol-addicted village, the period action film follows the story of three friends Dharani (Nani), Soori (Dheekshith Shetty) and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). But the goings-on take a drastic turn after one of the friends is mysteriously killed by someone. Now, it’s up to Dharani to find the culprit and exact revenge.

5. Shehzada

The film features Kartik Aaryan as the protagonist who learns that his biological father is an affluent businessman. He then decides to approach their biological parents and intends to protect them from imminent dangers.

4. Thiruvin Kural

The action thriller movie follows the story of a hearing and speech impaired man Thiru (played by Arulnithi), whose life suddenly takes an extreme turn after his father gets injured at a construction site. Can he get out of the situation despite his disability?

3. The Mother

The action flick features Jennifer Lopez as the titular protagonist – a mother and a highly trained former assassin, who comes back to save her daughter from dangerous criminals vying for revenge.

2. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

The romantic comedy movie follows the story of an affluent man (Ranbir Kapoor), who also works as a break-up consultant. During a leisure trip to Spain, he meets a woman (Shraddha Kapoor), and they fall in love with each other. But the story takes an interesting turn when the woman begins to have second thoughts about their relationship.

1. Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway

Based on a true story, the film features Rani Mukerji as a distressed immigrant mother who fights an arduous legal battle with the Norwegian authorities and their foster care system after her children are taken away from her.

10. Queen Cleopatra

Backed by Emmy winner Jada Pinkett Smith, the docudrama series focuses on a highly intelligent and powerful but misunderstood woman – Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.

9. True Beauty

The Korean romantic comedy series follows a high school student who gets bullied at her school for her seemingly unattractive looks. She learns the art of make-up and transforms herself into a drop-dead gorgeous girl and suddenly becomes very popular.

8. All of Us Are Dead

Based on the webtoon ‘Now at Our School’, it’s a South Korean show where high school students are forced to fight a zombie outbreak in a battle for survival, in order to avoid becoming the infected creatures themselves.

7. The Night Agent

The action thriller series follows the story of a low-level but smart FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who answers a call which reveals that there is a Russian mole at the White House.

6. Sweet Tooth

Backed by Robert Downey Jr., the DC-comics based fantasy drama series follows a half-human & half-deer boy Gus (Christian Convery), who attempts to unearth the mystery behind the origins of The Great Crumble with fellow hybrids.

5. Doctor Cha

The K-drama revolves around a full-time housewife, who is married to a surgeon, and how the medical graduate attempts to revive her medical career and becomes a first year resident.

4. Rana Naidu

The crime drama series features Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead roles of an estranged father-son duo. The titular character played by the former is the go-to guy for all Bollywood related problems. But all hell breaks loose when his father is unexpectedly released from the prison.

3. Wednesday

The horror comedy series focuses on The Addams Family character named Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega). The story is about how the titular protagonist, a gothic teenage girl, hones her psychic abilities and attempts to investigate a series of brutal killings.

2. Black Knight

The Korean sci-fi action series is set in a dystopian world which has been devastated by severe air pollution and is dependent on Black Knights. The show’s plot follows a legendary delivery driver aka knight – a highly skilled fighter, who is idolized by a refugee.

The ‘Bridgerton’ spin-off prequel series focuses on the United Kingdom’s queen – Queen Charlotte’s epic love story and the story of her rise.
