Netflix India’s Top 10 Films & Series to Watch in the 27th February Week

For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the topmost title has been bagged by Rohit Shetty’s comedy-of-errors movie ‘Cirkus’ starring Ranveer Singh. And in second and third places are the David Harbour starrer supernatural comedy movie ‘We Have a Ghost’ followed by the surreal and thought-provoking Malayalam-Tamil film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ starring Mammootty.

On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been bagged by the crime thriller show ‘Class’, which is based on the hit Spanish series ‘Elite’. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are the sports docuseries ‘Formula 1: Drive To Survive’ followed by the immensely popular horror comedy series ‘Wednesday’.

10. Thunivu

Helmed by H. Vinoth, the heist thriller movie follows a gang who hatch a plan to rob a bank. But they are shocked to learn that a mystery man (Ajith Kumar) with some unknown agenda is already present in the bank. Who is the mystery person, what are his intentions and how he gets what he wants, forms the film’s underlying plot.

9. An Action Hero

The action-drama movie features Ayushmann Khurrana as a Bollywood superstar and action hero Maanav, whose glamorous life takes a drastic turn after the accidental death of the brother of a Municipal Councillor (Jaideep Ahlawat) in Haryana.

8. DSP (Hindi)

The revenge drama movie features Vijay Sethupathy in the role of a flower seller’s son and a cop Vascodagama, who locks horns with the henchman Mutta Ravo (Prabakar) of a powerful politician. Vascodagama is forced to leave the town after that, but later the protagonist returns as the DSP to finish his fight with the ruthless antagonist.

7. Mission: Impossible – Fallout

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film continues the daredevil adventures of Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) as he and his Impossible Missions Force (IMF) team up with CIA special agent August Walker (Henry Cavill) for another impossible mission to retrieve stolen plutonium from a nefarious organization called the Apostles.

6. A Quiet Place Part II

The post-apocalyptic creature horror flick follows a mother’s (Emily Blunt) desperate efforts to protect her kids from killer creatures with extraordinary hearing. During her journey, she meets a mysterious ally (Cillian Murphy).

5. Mission Majnu

Helmed by Shantanu Bagchi and set in the 1970s period, it’s a spy thriller movie that revolves around an undercover R&AW field agent Amandeep Singh (Sidharth Malhotra), who must expose a secret nuclear weapons operation right in the middle of Pakistan. It also features Rashmika Mandanna as the protagonist’s love interest.

3. Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam

The film follows the story of a group of Malayali tourists who are on their way back to Kerala via a bus. Amongst the travellers is the film’s protagonist James (played by Mammootty), who stops the bus in a Tamil Nadu village, enters a seemingly random house and mysteriously begins to behave like a native Tamilian.

2. We Have A Ghost

The supernatural comedy movie is about how Kevin’s family become famous overnight after they learn that a ghost named Earnest (David Harbour) has haunted their home. But soon after, Kevin becomes the target of a government organization when he tries to unravel the ghost’s mysterious past.

1. Cirkus

Based on William Shakespeare’s play ‘The Comedy of Errors’, the movie features Ranveer Singh in a double role. The film’s story follows two sets of identical twins who are separated at birth and when they meet after many years, it leads to a hilarious turn of chaotic and confounding events. It also features Varun Sharma (also in a double role), Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandes.

10. Crash Course in Romance

The South Korean romantic comedy series revolves around the romantic relationship between a former athlete and grocery store owner Nam Haeng-Sun and a wealthy and popular math instructor Choi Chi-Yeol.

9. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter

Neeraj Pandey’s crime action-drama series revolves around the violent face-off between an upright super-cop and a dreaded criminal amidst the backdrop of chaos, violent and rampant corruption. It features an ensemble cast that includes Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwari, Abhimanyu Singh, Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, and Anup Soni, amongst others.

8. Mr. Queen

The Korean fantasy rom-com series follows a modern-day high-profile chef, who somehow gets transported inside the body of a nineteenth century Queen from the Joseon period.

7. Triptych

Inspired by true incidents, the Mexican series follows a forensic agent Becca, whose life takes a drastic turn after she learns that a murdered victim is her exact replica.

6. The Romantics

Directed by Smriti Mundhra, the docuseries celebrates the legacy of one of Indian cinema’s finest filmmakers Yash Chopra and production house YRF through various celebrity interviews and archival footage.

5. True Beauty

The Korean romantic comedy series follows a high school student who gets bullied at her school for her seemingly unattractive looks. She learns the art of make-up and transforms herself into a drop-dead gorgeous girl and suddenly becomes very popular.

4. Outer Banks

Set in Outer Banks, North Carolina, the action-adventure series revolves around a teenage boy named John B, who sets out to unearth some secrets pertaining to his father’s disappearance.

3. Wednesday

The horror comedy series focuses on The Addams Family character named Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega). The story is about how the titular protagonist, a gothic teenage girl, hones her psychic abilities and attempts to investigate a series of brutal killings.

The docuseries revolves around the highly competitive world of Formula One racing and features a behind the scenes look at the stakeholders of the high-octane game – drivers, managers, and team owners.
