For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the top-ranked title has been bagged by the dark comedy Indian film ‘Darlings’. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are the courtroom action-comedy ‘Pakka Commercial’ and the rom-com ‘Wedding Season’.
On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been bagged by the fantasy drama ‘The Sandman’ followed by the biographical series ‘Masaba Masaba’ and the South Korean show ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’.

TOP 10 MOVIES ON NETFLIX INDIA THIS WEEK
10. RRR (Hindi)
Helmed by S.S Rajamouli, the blockbuster period action movie ‘RRR’ features Ram Charan and Jr.NTR in the lead roles and Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. The film is a fictional tale set in the 1920s that revolves around two legendary Indian revolutionaries namely Alluri Sitarama Raju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (played by Jr. NTR).
9. Purple Hearts
Based on Tess Wakefield’s book of the same name, the romantic drama movie follows the story of a budding singer Cassie (Sofia Carson) and a marine with a dark past Luke (Nicholas Galitzine). They duo agrees for a marriage of convenience which can take care of Cassie’s medical expenses and an increased paycheck for Luke. But after an incident, their fake marital relationship takes a more profound shape.
8. The Core
The 2003 sci-fi disaster movie follows a gifted geophysicist Dr. Josh Keyes (Aaron Eckhart) who travels into the centre of the Earth with a highly skilled team of scientists. Their mission is to reactivate the Earth’s core through a nuclear device before disaster strikes.
7. Jaadugar
Directed by Sameer Saxena, the film revolves around a small-time struggling magician named Magic Meenu (played by Jitendra Kumar), who lives in Neemuch town in MP. Despite no interest in sports, Meenu must now lead a down and out football team and win the coveted inter-colony football tournament – in order to marry his love interest (Arushi Sharma). The movie also features Jaaved Jaafery in an important role of a sports coach.
6. The Gray Man
Based on the 2009 novel of the same name written by Mark Greaney, the film revolves around an old-timer CIA mercenary Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling) who becomes the target of his own organization after learning about its dark secrets. Consequently, he is pursued by his psychopath ex-colleague Lloyd Hansen (played by Chris Evans), leaving him with no other option than to become a fugitive. Helmed by Russo Brothers, the movie also features Indian actor Dhanush and Ana de Armas.
5. Morbius
Helmed by Daniel Espinosa (Director – Safe House, Child 44, Life), the film features Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) in the role of Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist who is diagnosed with a rare blood disease. In a desperate attempt to cure his illness, he unintentionally afflicts himself with a type of vampirism. This bestows him with superhuman powers, and he takes on the mantle of the enigmatic antihero Morbius.
4. Carter
The South Korean action thriller movie follows the titular protagonist Agent Carter (Joo Won), who wakes up without any memory of his past. Now, Carter must rely on the mysterious voice from a device planted inside his ear and race against time to pursue a dangerous hostage rescue mission while trying to remember his own identity.
3. Wedding Season
Helmed by Tom Dey, the romantic comedy movie follows the story of Ravi (played by Suraj Sharma of ‘Life of Pi’ fame) and Asha (Pallavi Sharda), who pretend to date each other because of pressure from their parents to find their love partners. But the story takes an interesting turn when the feeling begins to turn real for them.
2. Pakka Commercial
Helmed by Maruthi, the courtroom action-comedy movie follows an upright judge Suryanarayana (Sathyaraj) who gives up his profession after an unfortunate verdict. To make amends, he tries to bring up his son Lucky (Gopichand) as a righteous lawyer, but Lucky turns out to be a money-minded aka ‘pakka commercial’ lawyer. What happens when Suryanarayana dons the black attire again but this time, to face his own son?
1. Darlings
‘Darlings’ is a black comedy film that revolves around a mother-daughter duo (played by Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt) that is set against the backdrop of a conservative and lower-middle-class Mumbai neighbourhood. The story is about how Alia Bhatt’s character Badru thinks that her husband (Vijay Varma) will change after he stops his drinking habit. But when things go out of control, both these women set out to exact revenge in their own amateurish way.

10. Money Heist
The show follows a hostage situation plotline masterminded by an enigmatic genius and his attempt to pull off a virtually impossible heist with the help of his skilled team.
9. She
The show’s plot revolves around a female police constable named Bhumika (played by Aaditi Pohankar), who is sent on an undercover mission to expose a drug cartel. Along the way and while dealing with her personal problems, the poor cop learns how her sexuality can be a game changer in her life.
8. Business Proposal
The South Korean show follows the story of a woman named Shin Ha-ri, who goes out on a blind date instead of her unwilling friend. However, by a twist of fate, the prospective partner she meets turns out to be the CEO of the company where she works.
7. Alchemy of Souls
The South Korean series is set in a fictional region Daeho where mages can use the titular magic spell ‘Alchemy of Souls’ to switch bodies. The story follows an elite warrior Nak-su (Jung So-min), who gets trapped inside the body of a blind woman and helps a man (Lee Jae-wook) from a noble family to change his fate.
6. Keep Breathing
The six-part survival drama series revolves around the desperate efforts of a brilliant attorney Liv (Melissa Barrera), the only survivor of a plane which crashes into the Canadian wilderness. Now, she must battle the elements and her own personal demons to get out of the impossible situation alive.
5. Manifest
The mystery sci-fi series revolves around a group of passengers who somehow safely land after a turbulent flight. However, they soon learn that five years have already passed mysteriously in such a short time and the world has moved on after assuming that they were gone forever. They soon realize that their second chance is meant for something greater.
4. Stranger Things
The latest season of the sci-fi horror series follows the aftereffects of the devastating Battle of Starcourt at the Hawkins town in Indiana. The show’s young protagonists are now living separately and trying to move on in their lives. At this juncture, a long-buried, supernatural threat that connects everything, emerges on Earth and the Upside Down. The fourth season’s first volume comprising seven episodes was released on 27th May while the second volume with two episodes came out on 1st July.
3. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
The South Korean series follows the story of a young lawyer Woo Young-woo (played by Park Eun-bin), who is on the autism spectrum but is blessed with high IQ and a razor-sharp memory. The plot revolves around how she deals with life inside the courtroom and the law firm she works for while also dealing with various challenges that life throws at her.
2. Masaba Masaba
The biographical drama series is a fictional version of the lives of the real-life mother-daughter duo Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta. They play dramatized versions of their own selves amidst the glamorous backdrop of movies and fashion in Mumbai.

Based on Neil Gaiman’s comic book of the same name, the fantasy drama series follows the story of the king of Dreams – Dream / Morpheus (Tom Sturridge), who escapes from his more than 100 years of captivity and makes it his mission to reclaim what was lost to him and to regain his power.
