Netflix is about to bring a series on famous sports scandals from around the world, produced by ‘Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer’ makers, according to a prominent online news prortal. It will be one of Netflix’s cross Atlantic commissions with the British production house.
The series supposedly named ‘Bad Sport’ will be bankrolled by All3media backed Raw Television, the same company involved in the latest Netflix true crime docuseries ‘Fear City: New York vs The Mafia’. The directors roped in for this sports scandal series will include Luke Sewell and Alex Kiehl.
The Netflix series will probably include scandals like Italy’s 2006 football match fixing scandal ‘Calciopoli’ that happened in Italy’s top professional leagues Serie A and to lesser extent, Serie B. It resulted in implication of league champions Juventus who were stripped of their 2004-05 title and relegated to Serie B.
