Netflix’s Penguin Bloom is based on the true story of Sam Bloom who is a young mother when she meets in a near-fatal accident and her world is turned upside down. The story revolves around how a young mother finds courage and solace in the form of a small bird that is named ‘Penguin’
Inspiration and courage can come in the most unlikely form. We all face obstacles in our life and we try our best to overcome them but what happens when you are in a near-fatal condition and things around you seem so bleak.
The worst thing about such a predicament is that it’s not only the person involved in the accident but all of their loved ones who have to suffer through it silently so that they can form the emotional support that is required at the time. Netflix’s Penguin Bloom takes us on a journey that shows us the struggle of finding your reason to want to live again.
There are a lot of indirect references throughout the trailer that show the plight of nature in several ways. “It must be weird to have wings and not be able to fly.” Dialogues such as these in the trailer are why we are so hyped up for Penguin Bloom on Netflix.
The role of the young mother Sam Bloom is essayed by Academy award-nominated Naomi Watts and it teaches us how to enjoy the smaller things in life before it is too late.
Penguin Bloom will be streaming on Netflix on 27th January and it seems like the perfect inspirational tale.
