Netflix has picked up “See Her Again”, a popular Asian drama series. The news was confirmed via a Tencent Video press conference at the ongoing Shanghai TV Festival. The prominent streaming giant has acquired the show’s international rights. This is an unusual approach from the streamer, as it has rarely boarded shows from China in the past.
“See Her Again” revolves around a Hong Kong-based cop who unexpectedly enters the year 2018 from the 1990s. Soon, he starts working with a female cop to solve a series of mysterious crime cases from the past.
William Chan (Swords of Legends) leads the series. Alongside him, we have Cya Liu (Limbo) as the show’s female lead. Apart from these two talents, the project has talents like Niki Chow (Enter the Fat Dragon), Ling Man Lung (Tomorrow Is Another Day), Tse Kwan Ho (A Guilty Conscience), Stephen Fung (House of Fury), German Cheung Man Kit (Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In), and Ben Yuen Fu Wah (Suk Suk).
Prominent helmer KK Wong (best known for his work on The Trading Floor) directs “See Her Again”, with Tong Yiu-leung serving as the writer. The duo of Lau Siu Kwan and Chu Kang Ki are the script consultants. Stay tuned for more updates.
