To strengthen the hype around Guy Ritchie’s upcoming series, The Gentlemen, Netflix has released the first 10 minutes of the show. The latest clip is taken from the series’ first episode, titled ‘Refined Agression’.
The new clip opens with Eddie Horniman serving his military duties. Upon learning about his father’s deteriorating health, Eddie decides to visit him and the rest of his family. Some moments later, we see his father getting buried in the ground. Among all the individuals present at Eddie’s father’s funeral, we see Kaya Scodelario (playing Susie Glass) as well.
In the last few minutes of the clip, we find out that Eddie’s father has named him the heir of his property instead of his older brother, Freddy. This can sow the seeds of animosity in Freddy’s mind as he thought he was going to inherit their father’s wealth and property.

Eddie takes some time to realise that his late father’s estate is part of a weed empire. And many notorious criminals or gangsters want a piece of that empire. As Eddie gets sucked into the world of crime, he begins to like it.
According to Guy Ritchie, The Gentlemen is ultimately about the struggle between criminals and aristocrats. “That’s really what the show is about — the evolution from zoo to jungle, and how to hunt in the jungle.” What will happen to Eddie? Will he survive?
The forthcoming Netflix series is based on Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film, The Gentlemen, which has Matthew McConaughey as the protagonist. The show is brimmed with talents like Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Vinnie Jones, and more. The series will arrive on Netflix on March 7. Stay tuned for more updates.
