The longest running Spanish drama on Netflix has been renewed for a new season. ‘Elite’, the popular Spanish series, will be returning for an eighth season. The show is created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona.
The first season premiered in 2018 and there have been six seasons of the show so far. The 48 episodes spanned from 40 minutes to 1 hour. Elite grew to be highly popular among teenagers and high schoolers.
The seventh season was announced earlier and it will be premiering on the 20th of October this year. The highly acclaimed series tells the story of a group of working class students and their dynamics with the rich and ‘Elite’ group of students from the same class. It is wonderful Modern take on class division and offers a novel commentary on the same, that also makes the subject quite interesting to the new generation.
The episodes of season 8 will be directed by various filmmakers like Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares and Elena Trapé. New cast members will be introduced as well. Actors like Ane Rot and Nuno Gallego will be playing new characters. Mina el Hammani will be reprising her role from previous seasons.
Fans are excited with the news that they will be able to watch the Spanish show of their liking for one more season. Release dates for the 8th season are not revealed as of now. But most probably, production will start from August this year. The 7th season is already highly anticipated by fans.
