As expected, Netflix has renewed hit legal drama ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ for a second season. The show launched worldwide on May 13th, 2022 and it doesn’t come by surprise that within a month it got a renewal stamp for a follow-up season considering the reception of the first season. Besides that, the show is also regularly trending on Netflix India on the Top 10 Shows list since it’s release date.
The show has been on a roll on Netflix’s Global Top 10 and has made the chart in 90 countries with a total of 260.53 million hours viewed as of June 5. Within its first three days of release, the series finished #2 on Netflix’s weekly ratings. In its first full week of streaming, it was Netflix’s most-watched English-language series globally, with over 108 million viewing hours.
‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ is created by David E Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey based on the 2008 novel ‘ The Brass Verdict ‘ by Michael Connelly, sequel to his novel ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’. The 10-episode series stars Manuel Garcia Rulfo as Mickey Haller, a defense attorney hailing from Los Angeles who works from a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Continental instead of an office. Neve Campbell, Becki Newton,Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson and Christopher Gorham also stars in this show.
The second season will also apparently consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the fourth addition in the ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ series by Connelly, ‘The Fifth Witness’. Things only get better as Dailyn Rodriguez (Queen of the South) boards the drama as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Ted Humphrey, who developed series alongside creator David E.
