Hold your breath. It’s official. Stranger Things is set to return with it’s fourth season on 27th May 2022. And it’s bigger than ever.
The fourth season is set to be released in two volumes. Volume 1 will be available on 27th May with volume 2 coming to our screens on 01st July. In a note penned by the Duffer Brothers, they mention that the runtime of season 4 is twice the length of any previous season. Given this unprecedented length, Season 4 is being released in two volumes.
Before the official announcement by on social media, Netflix teased its fan with a series of posters which were released one after the other. The first poster shows Hopper, Joyce and Murray in Russia.
The second poster has Eleven in the corridor of Hawkins Laboratory.
The third image shows the remaining cast in Creel House.
And the fourth image shows few characters in California.
Social media and every Stranger Thing conversation will now be rife with speculation on what each of these image represent and what it means for the plot of the upcoming season.
The final image which accompanied the announcement of dates was an amalgamation of the earlier released images.
The previous season released back in 2019. The fourth season production was shut down due the coronavirus pandemic which has resulted in a delayed release.
Sadly for fans, Season 5 will be the last season of the show. However, fans at this point will be glad to know the release date for Season 4. Bring it on!!!
