Netflix Series ‘Ozark’ Shines in Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10

Jason Bateman and Laura Linney starrer crime drama series ‘Ozark’, whose fourth and final season (2nd part) started streaming from 29th April on the Netflix OTT platform, has made it big on Nielsen’s weekly top ten streaming charts.

As per the latest streaming stats from Nielsen, ‘Ozark’ has generated a whopping 3329 million minutes of viewing in the top ten streaming movies and shows list on Nielsen (for May 2-8 week). The show has not only topped the coveted list but has also outranked the second most viewed title by a huge margin. The second most viewed title is the comedy series ‘Grace and Frankie’, which is far behind ‘Ozark’ at 880 million minutes.

And the third spot on Nielsen’s top ten list is bagged by the Disney Plus series ‘Moon Knight’ starring Oscar Isaac in the lead role, which was viewed for 715 million minutes during the same period. Other titles on the list are the police procedural series ‘Criminal Minds’ (523M minutes), Disney+ animated fantasy film ‘Encanto’ (449M minutes), Amazon Prime Video’s neo-Western sci-fi show ‘Outer Range’ (425M minutes), and the widely acclaimed Netflix show ‘Better Call Saul’ (379M minutes), etc.

Interestingly, on Nielsen’s top ten streaming charts, seven out of ten titles are streaming on the Netflix OTT platform. Besides, two titles are streaming on Disney Plus while one is on Amazon Prime Video. So, Netflix has dominated the latest Nielsen top ten streaming chart and boasts of more than as astounding combined viewing of 6.8 billion minutes.

‘Ozark’ is a Netflix crime drama series which features Jason Bateman as a Chicago-based financial advisor and also stars Laura Linney as Bateman’s wife. The Primetime Emmy award-winning show’s underlying plot follows a family with kids who relocate to the Ozarks in Missouri for money laundering activities.
