We had earlier informed our readers about Netflix having chalked an agreement with Mattel Television to bring back its popular He-Man And The Masters of the Universe franchise in a newer, updated version.
Taking forward the plan, Netflix has revealed the cast that will voice the iconic characters of the beloved show, and must we say that the cast is absolutely spectacular.
One of the most iconic characters in the animated franchise is certainly Skeletor, the arch-enemy of He-Man. So, who better to voice the powerful, though evil, character than Mark Hamill – the voice behind Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series, and Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Yes, Mark Hamill will voice, and we’re definitely excited!
Chris Wood, the cute actor who won over audiences with his outing as Mon-El in Supergirl, and his work in The Vampire Diaries, will voice Prince Adam, better known as He-Man. His pet cat Cringer, who turns into his ride, the green-hued tiger Battle Cat, will be voiced by Stephen Root. Alan Oppenheimer, the guy who played the original Skeletor, returns to the franchise, although as Moss Man.
The rest of the cast consists of Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar, as Teela, Liam Cunningham, as Man-At-Arms, Diedrich Bader as King Randor/Trap Jaw, Griffin Newman as Orko, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Susan Eisenberg as the Sorceress, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Justin Long as Roboto, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man, Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man and Harley Quinn Smith as Ileena.
Popular director Kevin Smith will direct the first season of Masters of the Universe for Netflix.
