Netflix’s teen rom-com drama ‘Never Have I Ever’ will be returning with its second season this July and going by the sneak peak shared by the global streaming giant, looks like Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is all set to sort out the mess she had gotten herself into in the first season.
Moreover, Netflix has got a new cast member joining the ‘Never Have I Ever’ gang and its none other than rapper Common (‘John Wick: Chapter 2’, ‘Ava’). He will be seen in the role of Dr. Chris Jackson, a suave and debonair dermatologist who crosses paths with Devi and her family with his high-end practice and celebrity clients.
Earlier Megan Suri (‘Fresh Off the Boat’, ‘Atypical’) was added to the cast of ‘Never Have I Ever’ season 2 where in she will play the role of Aneesa, a new Indian student at Sherman Oaks High, whose confidence and radiance will pose an immediate threat to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Devi.
In one of the latest pictures shared by Netflix we can see Devi listing out the pros and cons for both Ben and Paxton and comparing them in an attempt to solve her love triangle mystery. Will she be able to choose the right one for her?
‘Never Have I Ever’ is created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher who have both executive produced it alongside Howard Klein, David Miner and Tristram Shapeero. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet among others will reprise their roles in season 2.
Exact release date for ‘Never Have I Ever’ season 2 is yet to be announced by Netflix.
