Netflix South Korean Revenge Thriller ‘The Glory’ Release Date Out!

Writer Kim Eun-Sook is one of the most popular and arguably the most successful Kdrama writer in the history of South Korean Television. Her shows like Secret Guardian, The Heirs, Descendants of the Sun, Guardian : The Lonely and Great God and Mr Sunshine etc have cult following. The King: Eternal Monarch was her most recent show, that came out in the year 2020. Despite mixed critical reception, the show was already a hit on Netflix.

The newest collaboration of writer Kim Eun-sook and Netflix sees her collaborating with Song Hye-kyo. The 8 episode limited series titled ‘The Glory’, is a Netflix Original and a Revenge Thriller. The Glory packs an ensemble cast and will stream on Netflix worldwide on December 30th, 2022. Makers dropped an official motion poster teaser of The Glory today.

The Glory is a revenge story that begins with a high school student who dreamt of a career as an architect. Due to brutal school bullying and violence,she is forced to drop out from school. Years later, her perpetrator gets married and has a kid. She becomes the homeroom teacher of her main bully and starts her revenge towards the perpetrators and bystanders of her bullying days.

The Glory is written by Kim Eun-sook and directed by Ahn Gil-ho. Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun are the main leads of the show. Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon and Jung Sung-il also appear in major supporting parts. Stream ‘The Glory’ on December 30th.
