After the financial dud of Netflix in the first quarter of the year, the platform took some important steps. The first one was the introduction of a cheaper ad-supported plan, the second one was action on password sharing. The third one however is less known and included many new kinds of experiments in content.
One prominent among them was the introduction of live streaming. Naturally, the first one is a comedy show. It would be interesting to know that the one on stage will be Chris Rock.
Titled Chris Rock Selective Outrage, the live show will stream on the 5th of March at 8:30 AM according to Indian timing.
Needless to say, their target audience is that of the USA because the morning time will not help in earning views from India.
More than anything, people are excited about the jokes about Will Smith and the slapping incident at the Oscars.
The performance of this kind of experiment will determine whether the platform will consider bringing comedy specials to other territories or not.
However such new experiments are always welcome because at this point Netflix needs anything and everything that may help them bounce back as the dominant streaming force globally.
