Netflix has finally rolled out an entirely Hindi version of its user interface in India. The new Hindi user interface will have everything available in the Hindi language – titles, synopses, coming soon, search, sign up, payment interface, and everything else. While subtitles and dubbed versions of popular titles are available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, Netflix hadn’t made available a local language user interface until now. Hindi is the only Indian language available as an alternative to the original English user interface on Netflix.
The new Hindi user interface for Netflix will be available on all devices – mobile, tablet, TV and computer. The move comes more than four years after Netflix launched in India in 2016. The Netflix Hindi user interface will be available to subscribers throughout the world, and not just in India.
What’s more, the Hindi user interface can be set for specific profiles on a Netflix account. Netflix allows members to set five different profiles on each Netflix account. Each profile can now have its own preferred language setting. To activate the Hindi user interface, go to the ‘Manage Profiles’ section, and choose the Hindi option in the Language section.
A Hindi user interface will be a welcome convenience for Hindi language speakers, allowing them to search for their preferred titles in a language they are comfortable in. The new Hindi UI aims to let users easily discover, access and enjoy their favourite Indian and international films and series.
Hindi joins the vast repertoire of languages that the Netflix user interface is available in, including Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese.
