Netflix Unveils New Japanese Romance Live Action Series ’Beyond Goodbye’

Netflix has launched and unveiled the first look of its new Japanese romance live action series ‘Beyond Goodbye’. Following ‘Crash Landing on You’ and ‘First Love’, ‘Beyond Goodbye’ is a new epic romantic series created by Netflix.

‘Beyond Goodbye’ is touted to be a completely original story by Yoshikazu Okada, known for his human drama works among the Japanese audience. The series stars Kasumi Arimura, known for her hit film ‘We Made a Beautiful Bouquet’ which grossed over 3.8 billion at the box office, and her successful Netflix film ‘Call me Chihiro’, and Kentaro Sakaguchi, known for the highly successful film ‘The Last 10 Years’ and his roles in hit TV drama series.

In ‘Beyond Goodbye’, Saeko suddenly loses her fiancé Yusuke in a traffic accident. As she tries to overcome her grief, she meets Naruse, a man who strangely reminds her of Yusuke. Little did she know that Naruse had received Yusuke’s heart a few months prior to their encounter—a heart still in love and holding all the memories of Yusuke and Saeko’s relationship.

Presented by Netflix and produced by Jun Kurosawai and Teppei Chikami, ‘Beyond Goodbye’ is directed by Hiroshi Kurosaki with cinematography from Kosuke Yamada. Check out the first look photos from ‘Beyond Goodbye’ here
