Netflix’s Asphalt burning is about cars and speed and thrills, but all of this comes with a twist. Roy races to win the hand of a beautiful lady in marriage but things take a turn when one of them challenges him to race on the Nurburgring track in Germany.
Netflix’s Asphalt Burning can quintessentially be called a love story with a twist that involves cars (I mean really fast cars). Roy seems to be over the top when he wins the race and is already dreaming of his honeymoon but wait it’s not that simple. Roy gets challenged to a race in Germany where he is competing for his runaway bride and also his respectability.
Asphalt Burning on Netflix is a mix of genres but in a very subtle and nuanced manner and while it seems like a good title on the offset, maintaining the essence of the script can get a bit difficult at times. That being said we all love movies with fast cars (This one Doesn’t have a lot of bald people in it though) and we all love a different love story. If executed well enough, it may just be quite entertaining.
The asphalt is sacred territory for any racer, and love is what keeps the human race moving forward. Without love, peaceful coexistence would be very tough, and without the asphalt, the speed would never come to life and remember one thing
‘Just because you win the race doesn’t mean you win the game.’
Netflix Asphalt burning will premiere on Netflix on 2nd January.
