Netflix’s Cobra Kai Star Reveals Season 6 Filming Window

Courtney Henggeler, who plays Amanda LaRusso (wife of Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso) in Netflix’s Cobra Kai series, has revealed when the filming for Season 6 will commence. The upcoming season will serve as the final chapter of the hit martial arts series.

Starting its journey as a YouTube project, Cobra Kai shifted to Netflix before the release of Season 2. And the upcoming season is expected to explore plenty of plot elements, including Kreese’s escape from prison and the Sekai Taikai Tournament.

Henggeler’s Amanda has played a crucial role in Daniel’s growth throughout the series. Upon being asked about what viewers can expect from Cobra Kai Season 6, the actress replied:

“I wish I knew. I just got the script for the – we’re doing the last season, starting in January [2024], and I just got the first script, so I’ll find out soon.”

Along with dealing with some loose threads from Season 5, the final season will revolve largely around two key plot elements. The Sekai Taikai Tournament will gain significant attention in the sixth season, bringing Eagle Fang and Miyagi-do into a global martial arts competition. Additionally, the final season will deal with Kreese’s return, who has served as an antagonist to both Daniel and Johnny for a long time.

Based on what Courtney Henggeler has revealed, it seems like Cobra Kai Season 6 may come out in late 2024 or early 2025. You can stream the first five seasons of the show on Netflix. In addition to Henggeler, the series stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Martin Kove, and more. It takes inspiration from Robert Mark Kamen’s The Karate Kid movie franchise. Stay tuned for more updates.
