Netflix’s Damsel Gets A New Release Window, Stars Millie Bobby Brown

Netflix has revealed that Millie Bobby Brown’s new fantasy film, Damsel, has received a new release window. It has been delayed to next year. It was supposed to arrive on October 13 on the streaming platform. Instead, it will come out in 2024.

The streaming giant confirmed the news by sharing Damsel’s new poster on X (Twitter) as part of its Geeked Week. The new poster shows Bobby standing at the entrance of a cave. On the left side of that poster, we can also see the shadow of a dragon.

Netflix will release the film’s teaser trailer on November 11.

Damsel revolves around Princess Elodie (Brown), who agrees to marry a handsome prince. Soon, she discovers that her so-called marriage is nothing but a dangerous trap. The royal family chose her as a sacrifice in order to repay an ancient debt. As a result, she gets thrown into a cave where she has to survive a fire-breathing dragon. She can ensure her survival only through her intelligence, bravery, and will to survive.

Brown is globally prominent for portraying Eleven in Netflix’s hit show, Stranger Things. Its final season is rumoured to arrive in 2024. However, a lot depends on the ongoing actors’ strike.

Helmed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Netflix’s Damsel has a jam-packed cast consisting of talents like Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, Nick Robinson, Ray Winstone, Brooke Carter, and more. It is reportedly made on a budget of $60-70 million. Stay tuned for more updates.
