The trailer for Netflix’s hotly anticipated fantasy drama movie ‘Damsel’ is finally out. Petite actress Millie Bobby Brown plays a Damsel in distress….but is she really one? Nah! On the contrary, she becomes her own knight in shining armour, as she plays saviour for herself and other damsels like her. The fantasy drama movie ‘Damsel’ premieres on Netflix worldwide on 8th March, 2024 – apt too that it is releases on International Women’s Day.
The trailer for Damsel unfolds into a tale of bravado like none other. Married off to a Prince, pretty protagonist Elordie finds herself flung off a cliff instead of being swept off her feet. She wakes up to find herself face to face with a dragon. Will she allow herself to be sacrificed like other girls before her, or fight tooth and nail for her survival?
Damsel stars Millie Bobby Brown, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Angela Bassett and Robin Wright in pivotal roles. The movie is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and written by Dan Mazeau.
The official synopsis for Damsel reads – “A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.”
