Streaming giant Netflix has added even more glittering names to the cast of its already star-studded show, ‘Zero Day’. Joining the Robert De Niro led series are stellar actors, Angela Bassett, Dan Stevens, Matthew Modine, Bill Camp and McKinley Belcher III in pivotal roles. Clark Gregg, Gaby Hoffmann and Mark Ivanir are also on board ‘Zero Day’ for guest roles.
Netflix’s ‘Zero Day’ will mark Hollywood A-lister Robert De Niro’s first TV role in his glittering career. Besides De Niro, Zero Day also features Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen and Connie Britton in key roles. The limited series comprises six episodes, and has just kicked off filming in New York.
Robert De Niro plays former president George Mullen, a popular but complicated personality, who is brought out of retirement by the current president to head a commission in charge of investigating a devastating cyberattack. Angela Bassett plays the current president.
The thriller series is created by Eric Newman (Narcos, The Watcher), Noah Oppenheim (former president of NBC News, Screenwriter of Jackie) and Michael S. Schmidt (Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter). Lesli Linka Glatter will direct all six episodes of ‘Zero Day’.
