Netflix’s ‘Eric’ Trailer: Benedict Cumberbatch Searches His Lost Son

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Abi Morgan’s Eric, an upcoming psychological thriller miniseries starring the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and Gaby Hoffmann.

Cumberbatch plays Vincent, a 1980s New York puppeteer who tries to search for his lost son, Edgar, with the help of a big blue puppet. The inspiration to create the puppet comes to Vincent after he looks at one of his son’s drawings. It shows what lengths parents can go to protect their children. Vincent takes this strange step to find his son after the investigation by cops hits a dead end. He becomes convinced that if he builds Eric and gets him on television, then Edgar will see his imaginary friend and come home.

Apart from the leading duo of Benedict Cumberbatch and Gaby Hoffmann, Eric also stars Ivan Morris Howe, McKinley Belcher III, Roberta Colindrez, Jeff Hephner, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, David Denman, and more.

Abi Morgan serves as the showrunner for Eric, apart from writing its storyline. Lucy Forbes has helmed the miniseries, with Holly Pullinger serving as its producer. It will arrive on Netflix on May 30, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates. Check out the official trailer of ‘Eric’ below!
