Netflix’s Glitch Turns Into Blessing In Disguise For Their New Show

Netflix dropped its new crime thriller show ‘Dept Q’ yesterday on the platform and this one has been in talks not just for how it is doing but also for one other reason.

Apparently, Netflix faced an outage yesterday most likely in the US and UK region which led to vanishing of ‘Dept Q’ from the platform leaving many perplexed as it happened midway while they were watching it. Though it was all sorted later on.

That aside, ‘Dept Q’ has been getting some pretty good response with people finding the Nordic noir set in Scotland to be an engaging watch. Based on a series of books by the Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen and created by Scott Frank (‘The Queen’s Gambit’, ‘Godless’), ‘Dept Q’ follows Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh who is assigned to a new cold case unit while still reeling with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralyzed and another police officer dead after a botched operation.

‘Dept Q’ is said to be beautifully shot with some very stunning visuals and is smart, moody and atmospheric. Backed by clever writing and skilful performances from the likes of Matthew Goode, the show brings the nordic noir to a Scottish set up, making for an interesting blend.

Despite having nine one hour long episodes, ‘Dept Q’ is engaging enough and is infact being touted to be a perfect binge material for crime thriller lovers.

But we cannot deny how the show going off air mid-watch for viewers brought attention of many others to ‘Dept Q’ who otherwise would not have noticed it for some time at least. So yeah, a Netflix glitch came as blessing in disguise for ‘Dept Q’ or was it all part of the plan!
