Netflix’s Hit Man Trailer Out, Release Date Revealed!

Netflix has locked and loaded with a killer release ‘Hit Man’. The long-awaited action-comedy from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Richard Linklater, ‘Hit Man’ is scheduled for release on Netflix in June. The film, co-written and starring Glen Powell (known for his lead role in ‘Scream Queens’), is loosely based on a real life narrative of a professor turned fake hitman, who unexpectedly falls in love with a woman who hires him.

Well, this movie is more than dodging bullets and catching feelings for Powell: this movie marks his first screenwriting credit. Netflix released the trailer today and from the end of the trailer, it can be noted that ‘Hit Man’ will be streamed on June 7, 2024.

This film is a follow up to Powell’s “Anyone But You,” exploring rom-com elements in a slightly different direction. Having its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival( as part of the Spotlight series, which showcases some of the best films on the festival circuit), adds an optimistic note to the anticipation surrounding the film.

The Powell-Linklater duo collab is not something new: Powell recently starred in the director’s animated film, “Apollo 10 ½: A Space Age Childhood,” and featured in the 2016 film “Everybody Wants Some!” Although the movie is set to be released on Netflix, ‘Hit Man’ is accompanied by a limited theatrical release in selected countries. Looking into people’s response to the ‘Hit Man’ trailer, the movie is surely killing it.
