Ryan Murphy’s upcoming period drama Hollywood has got bigger. The Big Bang Theory fame Jim Parson’s has been roped in to play a central character in the series.
Hollywood is the first work of Ryan Murphy under the new deal he has signed with Netflix. He is a successful writer, director and creator of many popular series. Glee, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud, Nip/Tuck, is a few examples of his creative work. Ryan Murphy’s latest The Politician has debuted on Netflix very recently, as well.
Coming to Hollywood, it is a period film set in the ’40s. Besides Jim Parson, who plays one of the supporting roles, the series will feature names like Jeremy Pope, Darren Criss, David Corenswet in the lead. Then, there are also Patti LuPone, Dylan McDermott, Samara Weaving, Maude Apatow, Holland Taylor, Joe Mantello and others in crucial roles.
According to Ryan Murphy, Hollywood is a love letter to the Golden Age of the tinsel town. The shooting of the series has already commenced with the principal cast. Hollywood is expected to stream from May 2020.
