Netflix’s Hopes Riding High, Renews “Shadow & Bone” For Season 2!

Shadow and Bone by now has become one of the most hyped up Netflix to be released this year and we can imagine why. Shadow and Bone, Netflix’s next fantasy drama is reportedly coming out with its first season on the 23rd of April, 2021. Netflix seems to have gone all out with the productions for the series as the photos, teasers and posters released by the makers and Netflix looks extraordinary. Till now at the least.

Going with the flow and already built up hype, Netflix apparently has renewed the show for season 2 already. This news has come up rather quietly just like how Netflix was while announcing the next seasons for its shows like Ozark, Warrior Nun and Fate: The Winx Club. Also, this is not the first time that the streaming service has renewed the show before the first season drops. It did the same for series like Bridgerton and most recently The Irregulars.

Shadow and Bone is based on the novels by author Leigh Bardugo. The show is inspired by the Grisha Trilogy and also the Six of Crows duology, which is set in an alternate timeline but the series will be showing the stories simultaneously. It is set in some sort of imperial Russia, as even though it gives off the feeling of fantasy, it is also filled up with loaded guns and bombs.

It was very much expected that Netflix might have eventually renewed the series, but the decision might have come after the release of the first season and the response to it. This isn’t the case at the moment it seems as Netflix has high hopes from the show and looks it wants the show to do miraculously well amongst the fans and viewers.
