It’s not the first and last time that Netflix has put itself in some controversy. Given the magnitude of the business Netflix runs, it is inevitable to not get into trouble on a regular basis.
You must remember how Netflix was badly accused of mistreatment during the Squid Game reality show. We supported Netflix because the claims were indeed hyper exaggerated and unnecessary.
But sometimes, Netflix exaggerates a simple thing. Let’s consider the case where there is a man who donates sperm. A bunch of parents who benefited from his sperm cells suddenly started having problems and they wanted to hunt down the donor.
Why?
Simply because they were uncomfortable with the fact that a particular man who also donated sperm to them had donated sperm to hundreds and hundreds of parents. While we understand that some parents might want a more exclusive sperm, we can’t negate that a lot of couples don’t have any issues at all.
Netflix just took 5 such parents and vilified the sperm donor. They wanted to make this totally unnecessary story “The Tinder Swindler”.
Well, the documentary is called “The Man with 1000 Kids” and the man has spoken out about his discontent.
What do you think should be done in this situation?
