Netflix’s ‘Kohrra’ To Return For S2 With New & Old Faces

Netflix has announced the return of last year’s popular investigative crime drama ‘Kohrra’ for a second season. Set in Punjab, a whodunnit series ‘Kohrra’ won over 20 awards since its launch including Best Series Award in Melbourne.

Season one was praised for the unique blend of crime, emotion and psychological issues alongside phenomenal performances from the actors. The series won many accolades spanning from Best Web Series, Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Editing to Best Cinematography.

As per the latest reveal, Mona Singh (‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, ‘Munjya’, ‘Kaala Paani’) wil ne joining the cast of ‘Kohrra’ season 2. Singh is expected to be seen in a new light in the show. Also, Barun Sobti is set to return to reprise his role of the young police officer Garundi who is focused on doing the best he can on a murky murder investigation, while navigating his personal dreams and dilemmas. What other actors will return in season 2 is yet to be revealed.

‘Kohrra’ Season 2 is written by Gunjit Chopra and Diggi Sisodia who have co-created the show by Sudip Sharma. Sharma also serves as the showrunner, and makes his debut as director and producer (Act Three Productions) with the show. Faisal Rahman is the co-director for the series.
