Netflix’s Korean Series Based On Indian Philosophy Coming

Indian philosophy is one of the most profound philosophies that one can read. It has a global influence, and it can be seen in the upcoming Korean series which will soon hit Netflix. There are 4 Purusharthas, out of which one is called Karma.

It is a very popular word that can have several interpretations, but a close English translation would be “deed”. Due to someone’s deeds, their future is also affected, and that’s why we have so many slangs related to karma.

Anyway, there is also a thing called the Karmic Loop. In this loop, people are sort of tangled in their own past actions, and they are unable to get away no matter how hard they try.

The Korean series Karma is based on the exact same concept. The series is about the fates of six individuals who become tangled in a web of ill-fated relationships.

Mok Gyeok Nam witnesses a mysterious accident and makes a deal he can never undo.

Joo Yeon, a doctor haunted by childhood trauma, unexpectedly comes face-to-face with the person responsible for her pain.

A desperate man, eager to escape his circumstances, borrows heavily from loan sharks to invest in cryptocurrency—only to watch his fortune crumble.

Gil Ryong loses his job unfairly, only to be presented with an opportunity involving an unsettling amount of money.

In Gangnam, a man runs a thriving private clinic. But his girlfriend, dangerously alluring, may be his greatest risk yet.

Park Hae-Soo plays a witness whose life takes a dark turn after a mysterious accident, while Shin Min-A plays the doctor forced to confront the haunting trauma of her past. Lee Hee-Jun portrays a ruthless loan shark, and Kim Sung-Kyun portrays Gil Ryong, a man who unfairly loses his job and faces a risky proposition.

The series is getting released on April 4th. Let’s see how it turns out.
