Netflix has now given the green signal for yet another documentary and this time it chronicles the life of Julia Haart, a renowned American fashion mogul. Julia Haart’s documentary titled “My Unorthodox Life” is will be coming to Netflix soon and it will tell how this woman left everything behind, and became a successful and known person in the fashion industry.
Netflix earlier brought a limited series “Unorthodox” which was based off of Deborah Feldman’s memoir and it instantly became a success. Given how the show successfully depicted the various points and traditions of the community, the series received critical acclaim and also won various awards. Born as Talia Leibov, and known as Julia Haart now all over the world, she is the CEO and of Elite World. Julia Haart has been raised and been part of the Haredi community ever since she was born. After being married off at the age of 19, she decided to take the bold step of leaving the community behind and giving herself a new identity.
As that happened, she opened up her own shoe brand and became part of the fashion brand “La Perla”. Later in life, she became successful as a designer too, who is known to have designed for the likes of Kendall Jenner and other. The documentary is set to focus on her journey but much more beyond that. This can give people idea about how of the most “orthodox” community in the world is still surviving and also how some people are leaving it behind with the thought of making a significant mark in the world.

Besides the upcoming “My Unorthodox Life” and “Unorthodox”, Netflix also offers “Shtisel” and the 2017 film “Menashe,” which has been filmed in Yiddish in a Haredi neighborhood.
