Netflix has a new contender in its all-time most popular English-language TV series: ‘Baby Reindeer.’ Since its release on April 11, the thriller series has amassed an impressive 84.5 million views, securing the No. 10 spot on the list and bumping ‘The Witcher’ Season 1 off the rankings.
Remarkably, ‘Baby Reindeer’ has achieved this milestone through huge word-of-mouth. With 30 days still left in its premiere window, there’s a strong possibility for it to climb even higher, potentially challenging the likes of ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 or ‘Stranger Things 3.’
Among films, Millie Bobby Brown’s ‘Damsel’ has also made waves, moving up to No. 7 on the all-time most popular films list. The film concluded its 91-day premiere window with a whopping 138 million views.
New Weekly Performers
In the past week, ‘Hit Man’ has shown strong performance metrics for Netflix, but it was the French film ‘Under Paris’ that dominated. ‘Under Paris,’ which follows a French scientist battling a shark in the Seine, garnered an impressive 40.9 million views globally since its launch on June 5.
Jennifer Lopez’s sci-fi epic ‘Atlas’ secured the second spot on the film list with 8.9 million views, bringing its total to 59.8 million views in just 17 days. This strong performance makes ‘Atlas’ a contender for the most popular films list, though it faces stiff competition; currently, ‘Glass Onion’ holds the 10th spot with 136.3 million views.
Notably, Indian film ‘Crew’ has managed to remain in weekly top 10 most-watched film (non-English) list for 3 weeks now.
On the TV side, Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Eric’ claimed the first place with 10.1 million views. The British drama ‘Geek Girl’ took second place with 7.3 million views, relegating ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 to the third spot with 6.9 million views. Additionally, the third and final season of ‘Sweet Tooth’ made a notable entry at No. 5 with 4.4 million views.
