The official teaser for Lockwood & Co. has been released. The series will cover the first book of the Lockwood & Co series that is named ‘The Screaming Staircase’. There are a total of 5 novels by author Jonathan Stroud in the series. It has a huge cast of Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, Ali Hadji-Heshmati, Hayley Konadu, Rhianna Dorris, Paddy Holland, Jack Bandeira, Morven Christie, Luke Treadaway and many more.
The series is directed by Joe Cornish. He is known for directing a very different kind of science fiction with ‘Attack The Block’ and a unique and unusual fantasy ‘The Boy Who Would Be King’. The well known and talented filmmaker is now trying his hand in horror.
In the Netflix original, Ruby Stokes plays the character of a gifted teenager Lucy, who joins the ghost hunting agency of the titular name which has only two members. The film is set in a society that is disturbed by the ethereal and supernatural. There are no mobile phones in society and everyone is still stuck to newspapers and magazines. It is a perfect world if we overlook the threat of instant death by ghosts.
The horror thriller will have a total of eight episodes and will premiere on the 23rd of January next year. The pre-production of the series started in July 2021 and continued upto March 2022. The novels have a huge fan base and they await the series eagerly. Make sure to watch this with your friends and family once it premieres on Netflix this January.
