Netflix’s Mai Fails To Leave Impact On Viewers! Here’s The Reason

Netflix’s new show Mai starring Sakshi Tanwar in the lead role is available to stream. It was not marketed as heavily as they did Madhuri Dixit’s The Fame Game but the credit for this goes to Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment which left no stone unturned in making the show work out for the audience.

Regardless, the buzz around The Fame Game was pretty visible when it was released. There were a lot of online conversations going on and it helped the series gain traction. On the another hand, nothing seems to be working out for Mai even after a great performance by Sakshi Tanwar. See tweets by #Mai on Twitter, and you’ll get an idea that it takes hours for a tweet to arrive on the show while in the case of a buzzy title, it happens in a matter of seconds.

The biggest reason behind the poor response to the show is the show itself. The show could have been exceptionally great but there was simply not enough attention on the character sketch of the lead character. All great stories have great characters and since the series is a prominent example of pathetic writing, it fails to connect with the mass.

If and only if the makers worked on making the series more believable then it might have been a great series with even better views than The Fame Game.
