It may have been some time before the highly anticipated Malayalam film, ‘Minnal Murali’ dropped an official promo, especially via Netflix, but netizens have noticed that the film has been getting some serious hype during the past few days. Multiple shorts and clips have emerged over the past couple of weeks, regarding the film’s shoot and never-before-seen shots, so the plan is to keep people’s minds on the film, even after great theatrical releases such as ‘Kurup’ and ‘Marakkar: Lion of The Arabian Sea’. With less than four weeks to go, Netflix could take a leaf out of their ‘Red Notice’ promotions and do the same for ‘Minnal Murali’ as we approach Christmas eve.
‘Minnal Murali‘ is the first Malayalam superhero film to be made, so the film already comes with a lot of hype as is. But with films like ‘Kurup’ and eventually ‘Marakkar’ making a huge impact in theatres for filmgoers, reminding people of this movie through short clips is a smart way to “keep the hype alive”. The last official promo video was the lyrical music video for the ‘Minnal Murali’ title track, ‘Thee Minnal’. But there have been small unofficial promos since then.
There has been another lyrical video dropped, for the song, ‘Uyire‘ which will appear in ‘Minnal Murali’. Also, Tanmay Bhat, an Indian social media personality who has been releasing videos on Netflix India by reacting to a few of their videos, reacted to the teaser and trailer of the film as well, to promote the film to a pan-Indian audience. Also, multiple YouTube channels have shown sneak-peeks into various ‘Minnal Murali’ shorts – which includes clips from the hospital, Tovino‘s character’s home and the festival fair.
The highly anticipated Malayalam superhero film, ‘Minnal Murali’ will premiere on Netflix in multiple languages around the globe, on December 24th 2021, during Christmas Eve.
