Netflix’s ’Nadaaniyan’: Why’s Everyone Trying So Hard!

Netflix has finally dropped the trailer for it’s upcoming original Hindi film ‘Nadaaniyan’ launching Ibrahim Ali Khan in his feature film debut alongside Khushi Kapoor. Helmed by Shauna Gautam, ‘Nadaaniyan’ will premiere on only on Netflix on 7th March, 2025.

The trailer kicks off with Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan) having everything planned out for his future – the studies and the job. But life has other plans and he end up being a pretend and paid boyfriend for Pia Jaisingh (Khushi Kapoor), an adorable rich girl in his college. When things turn awry he embarrasses her in front of the entire college and ultimately breaking her heart.

‘Nadaaniyan’ trailer also highlights both these young adults dealing with their own personal issues including the ones involving their families.

Overall, the trailer is well cut and has that Dharma touch that gives it a good cinematic feel. But somewhere it feels like everyone’s trying too hard and it all looks pretty fake or unrealistic for that matter. Also, Khushi Kapoor is the biggest disappointment amidst it all.

Directed by Shauna Gautam,  ‘Nadaaniyan’  stars Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the Dharmatic Entertainment banner, ‘Nadaaniyan’ will land only on Netflix on 7th March, 2025.
