Netflix’s One Piece Star Confirms Season 3 Renewal

Netflix may commence working on One Piece Season 3 right after completing filming for Season 2, according to actor Brashaad Mayweather. The star is best known for playing Patty (a cook of the Baratie) in Season 1. Based on the globally prominent Eiichiro Oda’s manga series, the show explores the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates, led by their captain, Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy). Luffy wants to get his hands on the greatest treasure of them all, The One Piece, to become “The King of the Pirates.”

In his recent interview with Bruce Crossey (What’s Popping!) via OPLA News, Mayweather seemingly confirmed that Netflix has greenlit One Piece for Season 3. He believes that Seasons 2 and 3 will be filmed back to back.

While Netflix renewed the show for a second season right after its globally successful premiere, there is no official announcement about Season 3 yet. The debut season amassed over 285 million hours of viewing after being watched by more than 37 million viewers within the first two weeks of its global release.

Based on how Season 1 culminated, Season 2 should cover the Loguetown Arc, concluding the East Blue Saga along the way. If Netflix officially greenlights Season 3 (which it will), we should expect the makers to adapt the famous Arabasta Saga. The streamer could dedicate the majority of Seasons 2 and 3 towards the adaptation of the Arabasta Saga. Plus, Season 3 could touch some arcs from the Sky Island Saga. Let’s see what happens.

One Piece Season 2 is likely to arrive on Netflix in 2025. You can stream the debut season on the streaming platform. Stay tuned for more updates.
