The legal drama series ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’, which started streaming on the Netflix OTT platform from 13th May onwards, has made it big on Nielsen’s weekly top ten streaming charts and is competing with the immensely acclaimed ‘Ozark’ series. Which title has topped the coveted list?
As per the latest streaming stats from Nielsen, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ has generated a whopping 1850 million minutes of viewing in the top ten streaming movies and shows list on Nielsen (for May 16-22 week). The show has not only topped the coveted list but has also outranked the second most viewed title by a huge margin. And the second most viewed title is Jason Bateman and Laura Linney starrer crime drama series ‘Ozark’, which is much behind ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ at 1081 million minutes.
While the third spot on Nielsen’s top ten list is bagged by the Netflix high-school drama film ‘Senior Year’, which was viewed for 767 million minutes during the same period. Other titles on the list are the police procedural series ‘Criminal Minds’ (501M minutes), Disney’s live-action animated movie ‘Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers’ (594M minutes), and the historical drama show ‘Outlander’ (456M minutes), which is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book series of the same name, amongst others.
Interestingly, on Nielsen’s top ten streaming charts, a whopping nine out of ten titles are streaming on the Netflix OTT platform. Besides, one title is streaming on Disney Plus. So, Netflix has yet again dominated the latest Nielsen top ten streaming chart and boasts of more than as astounding combined viewing of around 6.8 billion minutes.

The ten-part legal drama series follows an idealistic but troubled LA-based criminal defense lawyer Mickey Haller (played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), who runs his office from inside his Lincoln Town Car. He grabs an opportunity to revive his career after he unexpectedly gets a high-profile murder case. The series is based on Michael Connelly’s book ‘The Brass Verdict’.
Ozark
The crime drama series features Jason Bateman as a Chicago-based financial advisor and also stars Laura Linney as Bateman’s wife. The Primetime Emmy award-winning show’s underlying plot follows a family with kids who relocate to the Ozarks in Missouri for money laundering activities.
