Netflix’s Sector 36 Faces Huge Disadvantage Ahead Of Release

A single controversy can generate multiple sounds and opinions, adhering to the chaos theory. There are still plenty of new debates and disputes surrounding the most recent Netflix web series, “IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack,” which is fueling the controversy.

While this controversy has surely sparked a lot of debates and arguments, it has also affected several upcoming films and series on Netflix. Most of the promotional campaigns are highly affected after the negative controversy surrounding IC-814 : The Kandahar Hijack. One such film is Sector 36.

Netflix is planning to release Sector 36, starring Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal, on streaming service. The movie’s trailer was released by the producers on Thursday, ahead of its official release. The trailer for Sector 36 features Inspector Ram Charan Pandey (Deepak Dobriyal), who, realizing that the lives of the missing children are in danger, embarks on a hunt for a serial killer (Vikrant Massey).

The ensuing high-stakes cat and mouse game makes for an exciting tale. Despite being told not to pursue the case, the inspector investigates, and as a result, the tension increases. Sector 36 appears to be a gripping thriller that will hold viewers’ attention with its emphasis on the ethical and psychological aspects of the investigation.

It is partially based on the 2006 Nithari Killings, a series of serial killings in Noida. With such a stellar cast, the movie has not been promoted highly by Netflix. The sole reason behind this can be the recent controversy created around the IC-814 series.

The recently released caused a stir due to claims of factual distortion and misrepresentation. With such claims and controversies, it is safe to say that Netflix is trying to protect its upcoming film by avoiding any big promotional campaign.
