Netflix’s Steamy New Film Is the Talk of the Town

By Binged Bureau - Jun 19, 2020 @ 12:06 pm

Netflix’s Steamy New Film Is the Talk of the TownRemember Fifty Shades of Grey? Netflix has recently released a movie that might give fans a dose of their favourite Christian Grey albeit in a Polish version. The movie titled 365 Dni (or 365 Days) is based on a book series by Blanka Lipińska. Social media is abuzz with comparisons of the two movies.

The film is Polish and features a mafia war and has gone on to drawn a lot of comparisons to the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise due to the erotic nature of the film. There are the obvious power dynamics between the two main characters, Laura and Massimo in the film and Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the other popular franchise. Some viewers have also gone on to compare the film with fairytale Beauty and the Beast. Most obviously, there are BDSM scenes in both the films adding to the saucy factor.

The beautiful locations and intimate moments add to the comparison between 365 Days and Fifty Shades of Grey. Even the trajectory of a relationship between the couple is about control and later transforms into love. All these aspects are bound to remind fans of the Fifty Shades franchise. Fans also can’t seem to stop raving about the good-looking lead actor who was earlier seen in the web series Medici.

So, what exactly is the plot of the film? In the romantic thriller, 365 days, a Polish woman named Laura played by Anna Maria Sieklucka is kidnapped by Massimo, a Sicilian mobster played by Michele Morrone bent on seducing her. By the end of the film, Massimo’s dastardly plan has actually worked. Laura is enamored, and set to walk down the aisle with her brawny kidnapper—until an assassination takes place.

Since the movie is a book adaption, there are a lot more steamy scenes and raunchiness in store for viewers. There are already talks of a sequel based on the next book in Lipińska’s trilogy. The first two books, 365 Dni (365 Days) and Ten dzień (That Day), were both published in 2018. The third and final book, Kolejne 365 dni (Another 365 Days), came out in 2019. If you can’t wait for the next film, we suggest you pick up the books right away.
