Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 Filming To Commence On This Date

Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 has finally received a date for commencing its production work after suffering the impacts of dual Hollywood strikes. As per one of the latest reports from Deadline, the filming for the fifth season will start in January 2024. While the exact date is yet to be fixed, many insiders believe that the production could commence on January 8. Though, January 5 is also another potential alternative.

Deadline has also revealed that many of the show’s cast members have already arrived in Atlanta on the set for rehearsals and table reads.

It is good to see that Netflix is finally moving ahead with Stranger Things Season 5. Given the stakes associated and a lengthy post-production timeline, the final season will take some time before arriving on the streaming platform. The previous seasons are known to take nearly 7-8 months to wrap filming. It means the filming of Season 5 may conclude in August or September 2024.

After the filming, the editing process and integration of visual effects will consume a lot of time, as Netflix likes to drop all episodes of a season at once. If we consider all the factors, we may get Season 5 in the first half of 2025. This scenario creates almost a three-year gap between the release dates of Season 4 Part 2 and Season 5.

Stranger Things Season 5 stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, and many more talents. Stay tuned for more updates.
