Sandra Oh’s “The Chair” is coming on Netflix on the 27th of August, 2021.

Well, Sandra Oh is not the only highlight of the 6 episode series on Netflix. The series comes as a result of Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. She is joined in by her colleagues who are played by Jay Duplass, Holland Taylor, Bob Balaban, Nana Mensah, while David Morse plays the role of their Dean. The show will also star Everly Caragnilla.

Benioff and Weiss will be joined by executive producer and collaborator Bernie Caulfield, as well as Oh, Amanda Peet and Daniel Gray Longino. Peet is also serving as the writer and showrunner for the upcoming series. Along with executive producing Longino is also directing all 6 episodes of the upcoming series.

The makers and Netflix have already released a synopsis of the series along with a clip of Pembroke University’s newspaper daily. Pembroke will serve as the fictional university and also the universe where all the characters will be seen essaying their roles. The official synopsis read, “The Chair follows Dr. Ji-Yoon Kim (Sandra Oh) as she navigates her new role as the Chair of the English department at prestigious Pembroke University.
