We are all familiar with the very famous Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise starring the brilliant actor Johnny Depp. As fans, we all have enjoyed the movies thoroughly and it has been one of the greatest entertainers too. These movies made people fantasize about the world of pirates and Netflix is coming up with just the show to help us know more about the history of pirates in the real world. Netflix is coming up with another documentary and this will focus on the history of the pirates of the Caribbean.
Streaming on the platform from the 15th of March, “The Lost Pirate Kingdom” is a documentary series of the lives and how the pirates emerged in the sea especially in a particular spot. The pirates were so feared at times that during the reign of the British Empire, even they didn’t like the idea of facing them on the sea. The series will include historians and other known personalities that keep track of such events in history along with a live action depiction of what might have been the scene back in the days.
The trailer of the series tells how the war between England and Spain, led to very drastic conditions amongst the people that were affected by it. It has been recorded that a certain ship full of gold and other valuable items was at sea, when a certain incident led the ship to spill almost everything that it was carrying at that point. Thus, began the era of pirates in the sea.
The web series will show the lives of some of the most feared and known pirates like Black Beard, Charles Vane and the lady pirate Anne Bonny. The series will also focus on how pirates created their own, brand new “pirate republic” in Nassau, in New Providence in the Bahamas. They were known to have their own code of conduct, which governed the “republic”.
Pirates and Piracy in the Caribbean was one of the most dangerous things that the British faced. This occurred at a time, when the whole world bowed down to the British. The series will show the tumultuous fights that the British had, to tame the most dangerous pirates of all time. The series will bring forward a part of history that most people never knew.
With live action sequences of the narrations in the series and some great story tellers, The Lost Pirate Kingdom will be something that people should definitely look forward to.
